The Diocese of Madison has two types of cemeteries - Diocesan and Parish.

Diocesan cemeteries are so named because they are are managed and maintained by the Diocese of Madison. Click here for more information.

Parish cemeteries are managed and maintained by the parish responsible for them. If you have questions about a specific parish cemetery you can contact the parish directly or you can speak with Grant Emmel, the person at the diocese who is responsible for the parish cemetery program.
