Background

Bishop's Directives

In October, 2007, after a bottom-up process that lasted years and involved nearly a thousand people from throughout the diocese, including parishioners, priests, commissions, and staff, Bishop Morlino issued directives for all of the parishes in the Diocese of Madison.

Cluster implementation committees and a diocesan Implementation Commission were formed to address the implementation of these directives. Their work can be seen on the Cluster Implementation Plan page.  There are two types of directives:

General Directives - These directives apply to all parishes of the Diocese of Madison, in every cluster. They are listed below.

Cluster Directives - These directives apply to a specific cluster and all the parishes that belong to that cluster. They can be found here: Bishop's Directives.
