Bishop Morlino's Directives for Parishes in the Diocese of Madison

After a determination process that has lasted years and involved parishes, priests, commissions, and staff, Bishop Morlino issued his Directives for all of the parishes in the Diocese of Madison in October 2007. These Directives set the ‘direction’ for each cluster of parishes as the number of priests decline and the distribution of priests change in the Diocese. Cluster implementation committees and a diocesan Implementation Commission have been formed to address the implementation of these directives. Their work can be seen on the Cluster Implementation Plan page (click here).

There are two types of directives:

General Directives - These directives apply to all parishes of the Diocese of Madison, in every cluster. They are listed below.

Cluster Directives - These directives apply to a specific cluster and all the parishes that belong to that cluster. They are listed both by parish and by cluster below.
