May 2012 Regional Gatherings
In preparation for the 2012-2013 year, the Office of Evangelization and Catechesis is hosting regional gatherings to bring all catechetical staff in the diocese together to reconnect and face important catechetical questions in the new year. At the regional gatherings we will be discussing:
- New Catechetical Standards for Religious Education
- The Year of Faith and the Role of Catechetical programming
- The initiation of the ACRE Assessment for parish programs in March 2013
- Updates for Seat of Wisdom Diocesan Institute
In addition to parish catechetical leaders, please invite anybody else who contributes to the catechetical mission of the Parish. It would be wonderful if someone were present from every parish in the diocese. As always, pastors are most welcome.
For optimum convenience we have again scheduled and offered multiple dates and locations. Parish catechetical leaders are free to attend any session, but there is value in attending with neighboring parishes. Sessions will run from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with lunch provided. Dates and locations are as follows:
