Food
Families are asked to bring a dish to share based on the first letter of their last name (Potluck schedule: A-K: salad, vegetable, or side dish, L-R: dessert, S-Z: alcohol-free beverages.) Hamburgers, brats, hotdogs and buns, as well as condiments, ice and paper goods (including plastic table ware) will be provided and prepared through the generosity of donors. This will be an outdoor picnic on the fields behind the BOCC, so families are encouraged to bring their own folding lawn chairs or blankets to sit on.
Games
While the feasting proceeds, and continuing until 5:00, families are encouraged to take advantage of the recreational opportunities afforded by the BOCC. Informal games will be held on the baseball, soccer and football fields behind the BOCC. The gym will be open for basketball games and the indoor swimming pool will be open with several life-guards on duty. Parents will be responsible for any necessary supervision of their children during this time. Families are asked to bring balls, bats, gloves, frisbees and such, as well as swim suits, towels, water toys, sunscreen and bug repellent as necessary. (This is a typical family picnic.)
Spiritual Talk
At 5:00, Bishop Morlino will give an hour-long catechesis to the adults (and any older kids who wish to listen) on a topic TBA. The pool will be closed during this time.
Following the talk, families will depart for home.
