Spiritual Formation Homework:
Pursuing an Ever-Deeper Spiritual LIfe
Bookend your day with prayer, beginning with a Morning Offering and closing with an Examination of Conscience. Make a chart to remind yourself if this is not already a habit of yours. Below are some prayers you could use (or create your own or simply speak to God in your own words).
Suggestion for Morning Offering
O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
I offer You my prayers, works, joys and sufferings
of this day for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart,
in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world,
in reparation for my sins, for the intentions of all my relatives and friends,
and in particular for the intentions of the Holy Father. Amen.
Suggestion for Examination of Conscience
- Where have I met God today?
- What message did he give to me?
- What was my response?
Follow-up to Today's Class
Write a one-page essay on each of the following questions. Email these to DLI@straphael.org by the end of this month.
- What are the means by which God has revealed himself to you personally?
- Discuss one new understanding or perspective you picked up today and how it might impact your life.
