F.O.R.E.M. (Formation Of Religious Education Ministers) is designed to prepare catechists to serve in the ministry of Catholic education. It is intended for Catholic school teachers, parish religious education catechists, youth ministers, all those involved in any form of adult religious education and education commission/committee personnel.

The courses of the Diocesan Lay Institute may be applied toward the F.O.R.E.M. certification. Keep the credit sheets yourself or give them to your parish religious education office if they keep files for catechists. Once you have completed one level of the program you may submit all the forms to the Office of Evangelization and Catechesis for review.

Certification for the Diocesan Lay Institute Level 1 will be awarded for completion of the work of all ten sessions.
