Separated and Divorced Ministry

The following are programs  and resources available for parish ministry to the divorced and separated.

I earnestly call upon pastors and the whole community of the faithful to help the divorced,
and with solicitous care to make sure that they do not consider themselves as separated from the Church,
for as baptized persons they can, and indeed must, share in her life.

~ Pope John Paul II,  Familiaris Consortio

Resources and Programs

The Catholic's Divorce Survival Guide:  Helping You Find Peace, Power, and Passion After Your Divorce was created to bring specific help in the healing of the human family. Regardless of where you are after a divorce or separation, this 12-session program can help you and your family find answers to the questions you have and help restore fullness of health, life, and joy to every family.  Use as personal, small group or parish program.

Written and co-produced by Rose Sweet, an expert on divorce issues and a frequent guest on national radio and television programs. It features experts Christopher West, Fr. Donald Calloway, MIC, Dr. Ray Guarendi, Fr. Steve Porter, and Fr. Mitch Pacwa, and personal testimonies of Catholic men and women who have suffered through divorce. They courageously share their hearts, their stories, and their wisdom. As they witness to the pain they suffered and the healing power of Christ through His church and the Sacraments, participants will laugh, cry, and totally relate to their heartache and their ultimate hope and healing.
