The Office of Worship of the Diocese of Madison is charged by the Bishop to assist him in his duties as chief liturgist in the implementation of the vision of the Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy, which says “Christ is always present in his Church, especially in liturgical celebrations (No. 7).” The Office assists the people of the Diocese of Madison by fostering full, conscious, and active participation and encouraging appreciation for and love of the liturgy through support, education, and formation of liturgical ministers.
The Office of Worship is located in the Bishop O’Connor Catholic Pastoral Center with other Diocesan Offices and Agencies. Many of the workshops and retreats sponsored by the office are held in this diocesan center.
