Veiling Statues in Lent
"In the Dioceses of the United States, the practice of covering crosses and images throughout the church from [the Fifth Sunday of Lent] may be observed. Crosses remain covered until the end of the Celebration of the Lord's Passion on Good Friday, but images remain covered until the beginning of the Easter Vigil." Starting Time of the Easter Vigil 2013
Sunset on Holy Saturday, March 30, 2013, will be at 7:22 p.m. in Madison. Generally, nightfall occurs 30-45 minutes after that time. In the Diocese of Madison, the Easter Vigil may begin at 8 p.m. (or later).

Faculties for Confirmation of Catholics for the Easter Vigil
According to the Faculties for Priests and Deacons in the Diocese of Madison (March 20, 2008), the Bishop grants permission to pastors and parochial vicars to administer validly and licitly the Sacrament of Confirmation to adult Catholics within the parish at the Easter Vigil without the written permission of the Bishop.
