"Rachel mourns her children; she refuses to be consoled because her children are no more.  Thus says the Lord: Cease your cries of mourning.  Wipe the tears from your eyes.  The sorrow you have shown shall have its reward.  There is hope for your future."                                                   ~ Jeremiah 31: 15-17

Is an abortion from your past hurting your future?

Many people whose lives have been affected by abortion experience feelings of sadness, depression, anxiety, guilt, and fear.  These feelings may not surface until years later.  This is true not only for the woman who undergoes the abortion, but also for the father of the unborn child, the grandparents, close friends, even medical personnel.  The pain of abortion is intensified by a sense of alienation from others, from God, and from the Church.

If you are in this position, you should know that the Catholic Church understands and cares.  The Diocese of Madison offers two paths to healing, Project Rachel and Rachel's Vineyard
