This Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) document is meant to guide parishes in the entering of data and to facilitate consistency throughout all the parishes in the Diocese of Madison. Please read every page and make sure that all ParishSOFT users in your office have a received and read it. These are the standards by which the diocese will review parish data once ParishSOFT data is synchronized with our office. We will be contacting parishes whose data does not comply with the requirements listed in this document, which is why it's very important to refer to and use the Standard Operating Procedures. Revised text is always highlighted in yellow so you'll know what's changed with each new version.

We encourage parishes to offer feedback and comments as they use it, from spelling to policy issues. Actual parish experience is what we need to hear to continually improve our SOP.
