Justice and Peace Committee Mission Statement Minimize

The Justice and Peace Committee of St. Thomas Aquinas Parish seeks to promote Christ’s call to build a just and peaceful world.

Our mission is to facilitate learning about, advocating for, and responding to issues of peace and social justice in our parish community, nation and world, consistent with the calling of the Catholic faith.

Our Guiding Principle:
We need to build local communities of faith where our social teaching is central, not fringe: where social ministry is integral, not optional: where it is the work of every believer, not just the mission of a few committed people and communities.”

Respect Life Subcommittee

The foundation of all Catholic social justice teaching is the dignity of the human person, and it is on this foundation that all Respect Life efforts are built. From conception to natural death, the Church upholds a consistent ethic of life.

The Respect Life subcommittee helps St. Thomas Aquinas parish to celebrate October Respect Life Month, as well as raising life issues throughout the year.
