Community Meals Program
Purpose: St. Thomas Aquinas helps feed the homeless and people in need by supporting the “Community Meals Program.” Meal Server Volunteers are to distribute food as well as provide friendship through their company in the community.
Description: St. Thomas Aquinas provides a meal at the noon lunch at Luke House on the fourth Wednesday of each month. Volunteers either prepare food at home (chicken casserole, salad, fruit, mild, bread, butter and /or dessert) and bring it to church by Wednesday at 10 am, or work at Luke House setting up, preparing, and serving the food. Typically over 200 people are served during a one-hour period.
