Elizabeth Ministry

Purpose: The Elizabeth Ministry supports women during the joyous and difficult times in their lives.

Description:  The Elizabeth Ministry is based upon the Scripture story of the visitation of Mary and Elizabeth (Luke 1:39-45).  Through our actions, we humbly attempt to imitate the beauty of understanding and shared experience that generated joy and excitedment in this Scripture.  Through prayer, meal preparation, and visits we seek to mentor and support women and families.  

Training: 

• A guideline for meal preparation is available for anyone wanting to use their gifts and talents to feed a family with a new baby or someone who is alone after a hospital stay.
• All visitors need to have a background check (done by the Diocese of Madison) and attend a Virtus session.
• Visitors have a comprehensive visitor manual and step by step procedure guide to review.
