Funeral Dinners
Purpose: The goal of the Funeral Dinner Program is to provide a meal to guests following a funeral liturgy at the parish.
Description: Parishioner sign up to prepare food or work on the day of the funeral are called. Volunteers can sign up for the following jobs:
- Prepare a salad or side dish.
- Prepare a dessert
- Set up tables. This takes about an hour and starts about 7:30 AM on the day of the funeral
- Prepare and serve food (Estimated time: 2 – 2 ½ hours).
- Wash dishes and clean the kitchen (Estimated time: 1 - 2 hours).
- Call volunteers (Estimated time: 1 - 2 hours).
