The Rosary
The rosary is prayer, which, in its repetition, draws us into contemplation of the mysteries of our salvation. Each decade has traditionally been given to pondering one aspect of the Paschal Mysteries. Everyone is invited to participate in any or all of the following opportunities to pray the Rosary:
The Rosary is recited Monday through Friday beginning approximately at 7:55 am before the morning liturgy. On Saturday the rosary is also said at approximately 8:10 am before the 8:30 am Mass.
The Living Rosary Group was begun in May 1929 by fifteen women parishioners. Members pray a decade/mystery of the rosary each day. On the 1st Friday of May and October, members of the Living Rosary Group gather at St. Bernard's to pray the rosary, sing and recite the Litany of Loretto.
At all funerals held at St. Bernard Church, Living Rosary members and parishioners who can join them pray the rosary for those who have died and their families. They meet a half hour before the beginning of the funeral in the Eucharistic Chapel. For information contact: Mary Wrzesinski or Lori Lonergan.
The Madonna's Rosary Makers are parishioners from St. Bernard's Middleton, St. Mary's Pine Bluff and St. Francis Cross Plains who make rosaries for the missions throughout the world. They also pray the Rosary at their bimonthly meetings. For information contact: Jo Meier, President.
The Knights of Columbus Rosary for Respect Life is prayed at 6:45 pm before their regular KC meeting on the 4th Tuesday of the month.
