The Sacrament of Marriage

For Catholics, the Sacrament of Marriage, or Holy Matrimony, is a public sign that one gives oneself totally to this other person. It is also a public statement about God: the loving union of husband and wife speaks of family values and also God's values.

Engaged couples are asked to contact the Parish Office to request a wedding date at least six months to a year in advance. Once the requested date has been scheduled, the couple is required to meet with the priest for a description of the marriage process and to allow adequate time for the preparation. At that time, wedding information materials will be given to them to begin their marriage preparation process. You must be a member of St. Bernard's in order to be married at the church.

Planning a Wedding

All couples planning to marry at St. Bernard’s are asked to contact tthe Director of Music  to schedule an appointment to review the sacramental preparation for the wedding liturgy and to help couples make music selections for their wedding ceremony. Please call the office at 831-6531 to arrange for this session.

Blessing or Renewal of Wedding Anniversary Vows
