Since the new parish Church Management Software functionality includes an integrated online giving platform, to start the process of setting up this new tool, each parish within a Pastorate must fill out a merchant application with ParishStaq's main company called: PushPay. This is to verify each parish's financial and organizational information in order to underwrite the parish and issue approval to accept donations through their online giving tool.
After filling out the form to start implementation at the Diocese to get started, an application will be sent to your designated Business Manager and the information described below will be collected by a Docusign link. Part of the transition to the new CMS is transitioning your existing online givers to the new ParishStaq/Pushpay system. To effectively promote this in your parish, please see the Commuication Plan resources created by the Diocese.
To efficiently work with ParishStaq and transition our parish's data to their system, the Diocese will be assisting you in pulling multiple queries to send to the vendor the data from our existing ParishSOFT tool. This will 1) help your data to be transitioned quicker and 2) will still allow you to verify and spot check that all data is present in the new tool. If you wish to look through your database for inconsistencies, reference the ParishSOFT Basic Data Check.
