Who? The focus of this part of the plan should be on those who are already faithful and committed disciples of Jesus Christ. This is the same group of "the 72" that was part of the focus in phase 2.
Where? The new and decisive element of phase 3 is to expand our vision beyond the walls of the parish to carry Christ into the world. Some formation and training will certainly happen at the parish, but the goal is to equip our parishioners and send them into the world to be witnesses of Christ in the ordinary circumstances of their lives.
What? The vocation of the laity is a participation in the threefold office of Christ:
Why? For the glory of God and the salvation of souls. This is the mission we have received at Baptism and especially at Confirmation.
How? Teach about the lay vocation through homilies and any other means of communication; and then train people in the exercise of the lay vocation using some of the resources listed below.
Every parish evangelization plan should have three parts corresponding to the three key questions of Go Make Disciples:
What are we doing to form parish leaders as missionary disciples?
What are we doing to help our parishioners grow in holiness?
What are we doing to equip our parishioners to be witnesses of Christ to others?
